The name
Filidh — pronounced fill-ee — takes its name from the filí, the learned advisor class of ancient Ireland. The filidh were not merely poets. They counseled kings, held institutional memory, and navigated the most consequential decisions a kingdom faced. Their training ran as long as twenty years. They were accorded legal protection even a king could not override.
Their instrument was imbas — a kind of inspiration that illuminates, that sees past the surface of a problem to what actually needs to happen. They were, in essence, the original trusted advisors.

The principal
Filidh is led by a single practitioner with close to twenty years in architecture, engineering, and technology leadership across large, complex organizations — more than ten of them spent running the engineering side of the business, not just advising it.
As Chief Technology Officer for Wells Fargo's equipment finance business, that meant reducing a sprawling application portfolio by 62% and retiring more than forty legacy systems, while overseeing the self-service platforms the point-of-sale financing business ran on. Before that, as Director of Solutions Architecture at GE Capital, it meant moving core applications to private cloud and pushing Agile and continuous delivery into an organization built on neither.
Most recently, that work has meant building the platforms and the teams that put AI agents into production at enterprise scale — not as a pilot, but as infrastructure the business runs on.
The thread across all of it is the same: engineering leadership that gets closer to the problem than advice ever can, and stays until the outcome is real.
